A classic open kitchen with a retro nod.
The clients had an outdated kitchen with a wall dividing the kitchen from the living room and dining room. They wanted to remove the wall to create an open concept and update the kitchen with bright white cabinets and a splash of color on the walls. The wall was able to be removed and an island with storage on one side and seating on the other was installed. Large pendant lights were added above the island to illuminate the space. New white shaker cabinets topped with a white quartz countertop was used for a bright, clean, and timeless look. Hardware in matte black added a nice contrast to the white cabinets and counters. The client fell in love with the elongated hex tile that had a retro nod and pulled in the green that was used throughout the rest of the house. Now the client is able to prepare meals and still be included in the action around the house.
